Safari lodges are remote, so halal catering is arranged rather than found. Given notice, most private reserves will prepare halal meals and provide a quiet space for prayer.
Day trips vs multi-day
A Western Cape reserve gives you a Big Five day trip from Cape Town with a halal lunch arranged in advance. Kruger and the private reserves beside it need flights and at least two nights.
What we confirm with lodges
Halal meal preparation, prayer space, family accommodation and whether alcohol is served in shared areas.
